Getting to Know You

Jen and I recently took a week off for a little breather and time to get to know ourselves again. As much as we are passionate about our work, sometimes five days off, out of three hundred and sixty five is a very good idea.

Jen went to Cape Town for Bastille day and a good party to get the blood pumping again, while I enjoyed being at home taking the time to sit for hours on end drawing. Something I can't seem to find much time for in those other three hundred and sixty five days of the year.

Design Orgasm

Being that Jen and myself are complete freaks for a good choice in colour, paper and printing a weekly visit to Antalis or The Paper Cafe is nothing out of the norm. Hey, at least we can admit that we have a fetish and we need our weekly fix with a small rub of soft paper on the upper lip and breathing in that crisp perfume of a new sheet or discovering a colour palette that makes you imagine a design straight away...

Anyway, before I work myself up too much, when Jen and I manage to find somebody who has mastered a combination of all three it's difficult to keep it to ourselves. This design gets our blood pumping. And these guys manage to pull something spectacular off each time they try, check them out for your weekly creative hit.

Jen and I recently did a full corporate identity for a company just starting out. Tagline is a new and impactful company who specialise in corporate tailored shirts that are selected from their seasonal catalogue, tastefully put together by their in house designers. Tagline strive to follow current fashion trends whilst remaining elegant, corporate, and professional on all accounts. The Counters Feature in Crush

Hi All

Our lovely friends at the The Counter were recently featured in the monthly online food magazine - Crush. Such little clevers! And we're really proud of them, so here it all is.

When The Counter found out they were going to be featured in the magazine they decided to throw a delicious lunch for all the people they felt helped them get to where they are today. We were truly privileged to be invited and had the best day drinking good beer, taking photos and eating ourselves in to food comas.

It seems as if we're finally getting a little bit better at keeping you in the loop and making time to do so. Here's a post we're quite proud of!

A Difficult Month Should only End in Candy

Hi All


Wow, this month has been one for the books! Whether it be due to it being absolutely terrifying and difficult to keep up with or breathtakingly wonderful. 


This month has proven strenuous for You&Me both personally and in business. I like to think that there are always two ways of coming out of moments like these, with that said I'm pleased to say that I am proud of both Jen and myself for the way that we have dealt with everything. Now we can be glad that we can add a whole squad of qualifications to our CV - Mind reader, psychologist, miracle worker and even firefighter. (We'll leave it up to you to figure those out. Excuse the "hint" of sarcasm.)


So, now that you know part of the reason that we've neglected to keep everyone updated, here's a long awaited blogpost! 


These are a few Candy Card designs we did for one of our cherished clients, Shocking Pink - http://shockingpink.co.za/ . A real fun loving and spontaneous company that are always coming up with new and exciting ideas (That Jen and I are lucky enough to be called in on to help with.) They are a company that strive to keep their customers enticed and on their toes, and we are always thrilled to be a part of that process.


These Candy Cards are just one of the ideas that Shocking Pink has come to us with. And shown above are a fraction of the designs we did for Celebration, Get Well Soon and Thank You there were also designs for Birthday, Valentines Day, Mother's Day and Love.


I'm excited for harder months to come along. Let's prove to ourselves that we're actually worth something.
